This proposal marks the beginning of a project.
As all projects at this scale, it seems necessary to explore as many themes and options as is possible in order to find the best solution for the community and, at a larger scale, for the larger territory.
Such a vast project becomes a collective invention and production, associating developers, architects, engineers with the city and it’s community.
In this large-scale development in Poppleton, the project lies beyond building 600 new housing units and new retail spaces. This phase will mark a new identity for neighborhood, addressing two key issues :
The important dimension of the block and the relationship created with the park surrounding Poppleton Recreation Area
The perception of the project as seen from Franklin-Mulberry Expressway.
The project must act as a vector to create a perfect synergy between a territorial, urban and landscaping strategy, and high-quality housing and public spaces for the community. However, it must, at this stage and during all development phases, be in line with global market economy.
An architectural project marks the moment between what can be done, and what can’t, whilst always striving to create a place where people will want to live, and in which they will be proud to live.
