Tianjing - Ninghe

2019

The Tianjing City expansion and urbanization project is a very important issue for this region of China. The City has been engaged in this major urban project for several years. Today several sectors are in development, occupying very different territorial situations.
The site on which we are proposing an ambitious project in terms of sustainable development, offers proximity to one of the largest wetlands in the World (16000 acres). This coexistence offers a remarkable opportunity to build a specific identity for this new district.
So we are developing this project along seven lines:
- The first objective is to strengthen the quality of this wetland.
- The second objective is to create a large-scale hydraulic system that would manage all of the surface sanitation to support the identity of the public space in the new district.
- The third is to imagine, to the north of the site, a large biodiversity park (600 acres) for a practicable wetland.
- The fourth objective is to constitute a backbone to this district through a series of small lakes which would receive all around a certain number of public, cultural or commercial facilities.
- The fifth objective is to make the link with the territories to the East and West of the site by conserving agricultural soils and renewing their production with organic crops, without any product harmful to health.
- The sixth objective is to provide economic housing in terms of energy consumption to create a positive energy neighborhood.
- The seventh objective is to create an efficient public transport system with a developed network in order to reduce the use of the private car.
